Redefine your rainy day essentials with boots that are practical and playful. Splash into our merry story, here are four facts you may have not know about Merry People!
Our Founder Dani grew up in the country! Growing up in rural Victoria, Dani's happiest memories were spent in gumboots, splashing in puddles and playing in mud. Moving to the city as an adult sparked her dream of designing a colourful, comfortable boot for city adventures too! Now clogs and sandals have joined the waterproof party for all year, any weather wear.
Our products are unisex. Merry People boots, clogs and sandals are designed for anyone who loves adventure (while staying comfy) and are the perfect outdoor partner for kids, teens and adults alike.
Our gumboots are global! Since Dani started selling boots at local Victorian markets 11 years ago, Merry People has gone global! We've expanded to New Zealand, the US and the UK! That's a lot of happy feet (thousands in fact!) and we're still only getting started.
We have a store in Melbourne. In 2025 we opened our very first store on Manchester Lane in Melbourne's CBD where our community can experience the colour, comfort, and happy vibes of Merry People in person! But if you can't step in the store, there may be a stockist in your neighbourhood.
Retail Store Easter Weekend Hours If you're planning on stopping by our Melbourne retail store, please keep in mind our trading hours this long weekend: Saturday, 4th April: 10am - 5pm Sunday, 5th April: Closed Monday, 6th April: Closed
COLOUR & JOY FROM THE GROUND UP Merry People acknowledge and pay our deepest respect to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation - the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and gather.
