Pricing Update From Dani I hope you're having a great start to your year. I write to you today with an update that I did not want to deliver, and one I have explored every avenue to avoid - a change to our pricing.
I have (and always will) strive for Merry People to deliver the fairest offering possible. I want all customers to feel true value in our products when shopping with us.
Over the last couple of years, we have made a number of conscious steps to improve our products - particularly when it comes to sustainability and overall quality.
What We Have Done - Strengthened our Quality Control practices.
- Developed an Enhanced Traction sole.
- Increased the level of third party testing to ensure the highest quality.
- Regularly consulted with chemists and sustainability consultants to inform our material compounds, manufacturing process, packaging decisions and ways of working.
- Transitioned to recycled EVA footbeds across all of our new products, with the aim to implement across the whole range by the end of 2024.
- Used Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified rubber for our newly released products, with the aim of using it across all of our footwear products by the end of 2024.
- Implemented FSC certified mix fiber for all of our packaging.
We have made these changes and endeavoured to absorb as much of the cost as we possibly can, however over the past two years of inflation, our overall cost to produce and serve our customers (particularly shipping and postage) has increased significantly. Because of this, I have had to make the difficult decision to adjust prices accordingly.
I want to assure you that I am very sensitive to price (particularly because we never go on sale), so decisions like this are done only after extensive exploration.
