The honesty's too much

There are stages of intimacy in all relationships, right? There are points at which one takes a risk and reveals something more intimate than before - something really private, personal and important - something upon which the direction of the relationship might depend.

We reached one of those points this morning.

Old Flame saw the extent of my stash! He paled a little but took it well.

Don't worry, pretty soon they become so punch-drunk they dont possess the faculties to process stash intake or quantity. trust me.

Well done!! I think you can numb them to the width, depth and height of your stash!!

This story made me smile. Very nicely described.

Mine is still unsure - mainly due to my excellent powers of camouflage and misdirection - 'look over there - something sparkly!'

Getting pale is OK. It's when they either pass out or start shrieking - well, that's a bad sign. I had the husband before the stash, and slide skeins in gradually. He really doesn't pay much mind. (I hope he doesn't see that parcel that arrived today before I have a chance to scatter it amongst the others, though!)

yes you are right, the reaction to the stash is a potential deal-breaker. there has been a lot less hassling around here once the extent of someone elses was revealed, and i get off pretty lightly these days!

Reminds me of the time that DH saw my stash...we were moving around boxes. He said,"I think that I already keep you in the manner to which you wish to be accustomed."

That was a few years ago. It's grown since :)

I have little or no daoubt that OF has a collecting habit of something. Just wait for it and you'll find it. H.I.'s is figurines for his wargames - he has far more of these than I'll ever have skeins of yarn! Admittedly, his stuff takes up less room... but mine's not breakable!
