At least the fall from the "Use What You Have Month" wagon is cushioned by wool.
Sorry everyone, but 22 balls of black Cleckheaton 8ply, all in the same dyelot for $1 a ball was too good an opportunity to walk away from. I will admit that the two balls of Patonyle and four balls of vintage Patons Azalea for a total of $5.50 wasn't strictly necessary, but as I was buying the 8ply anyway...
I did leave lots of other beautiful wool there, though. St VdeP at Curtin if anyone's interested. ;)

You're a very naughty girl!
(Having said that I probably would have done the same thing. But 22 balls - you could knit an elephant blanket with that!)
I am a well upholstered woman and they are 25g balls. This quantity will just make a close fitting t-shaped jumper with short sleeves.
Oops, sorry I just assumed 50g. :-}
In no way was I alluding to the fact you had anything in common with an elephant. Except possibly in the brain department?
Dinna fash, SS, I took no offence at all. :)
Besides, elephants are large, lovely, useful creatures that are worshipped in Thailand. Size is not only relative but attitudes to it are culturally based. To me, fat is a description, not a term of abuse.
Where on earth does everyone seem to find these bargains!, I Have to check out the thrift shops ,there's a few in Kal......
The trick is to go often - you get to know the stock and the pricing policies (as such) and sometimes the staff will tip you off to items of interest once they get to know you.
