I just don't want stuff at the moment. I popped into the newsagents at lunchtime during the week, took a look at all that glossy paper and walked out again. Just couldn't do it. Not even the knitting mags attracted me. I've cancelled a couple of subs lately and am not renewing others. Right now the only renewals will be Interweave Knits and Yarn.
I'm sure this is partly a reaction to having to deal with all of Dad's stuff as well, but whatever works, right?

I can't believe I've been watching you do this for almost a year. You are amazing with the way you are determined to be more thoughtful about what you buy/acquire!
I also subscribe to IK, and Yarn, but come next time round, it will be only Yarn. I also subscribe to Yarn Forward, a UK mag, which is only new and I think is a really good read (this quarter wellie socks, Orkney Lace Shawl, crochet and knit projects. Most more challenging and fitted than the average mag.
Keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to many, even if most we are stalkers, not commenters.

Congratulations - it's weird, isn't it, not be attracted to stuff anymore? Got the same feeling as you. All the time I've wasted buying stuff and coulda been knitting!
