Seven Things Part 6 (the end)

Apparently I overestimated the size of my own feet. Tried the green opal sock on last night and it was an inch past my big toe. I get to unravel again. O joy.

SEVEN THINGS I CANNOT DO
  1. Lie convincingly
  2. Walk past an open op-shop (but you already knew that)
  3. Play a musical instrument (8 years of piano lessons completely wasted)
  4. Do mental arithmetic with any degree of accuracy
  5. Understand the current craze for making crappy soft toys (I realise I may be exiled from the Blogdom for this one)
  6. Separate my coloureds from my whites
  7. Conceive and carry a child to term

Goody, I can still be your friend. I over-identified with Jo as a kid and as a result I still prefer to write with fountain pens and ask people if genius burns.

Good luck with the re-hashing of the sock. I find frogging and knitting up again so wearying that I don't do it as often as I should!

Thankyou for putting effort into your meme answers. It made them a worthwhile read.
One of the things I have enjoyed since moving to Bacchus Marsh is the development of a fairly close relationship with the two op shops in town. They are both great and I love being greeted as I walk in!
Cheers Gillian

Sometimes us crappy soft toys just want to be made and you've got no choice in the matter.... :-)

Just be careful it doesn't happen more than three times otherwise you'll have a collection!

Trudy, my dear, humblest apologies. You are, of course, the exception. For a start you actually resemble, in a very striking manner, your corporeal cousins and you are also very tastfully coloured.

There is little to no similarity between you and the so called "stuffie" brigade who always remind me of a particular "Vicar of Dibley" episode (Series 1 Episode 3) in which Alice makes soft toys for the fete.

Having seen the prices of some of the ugly stuffed toys in places like Space Furniture ($125 from memory for a rather ordinary 2 dimensional stuffed something!) I'm almost tempted to jump on the bandwagon and make a pile of cash...

(Trudy, by the way, is strutting round looking like Lady Muck after your comments)

I can't do #7 either. But I can knit like there's no tomorrow, and will continue to do so. Hugs.
